FAQs

Where do we deliver? We offer free delivery to Napier, Hastings, Havelock North. We will delivery outside of these areas but a fee will incur from $35. Contact our team to discuss further.

What age range are the cubby houses appropriate for? We have designed the houses for one - six year olds (preschool). Some allowances can be made up to the age of 10 years - speak to our team before making a booking. Children at 12 months can be accommodated with modifications, please let us know upon the time of booking and we can supply more age appropriate toys/props. The equipment is not for clients over the age of 10 years.

What is your cancellation policy? A full refund will be given for bookings that are cancelled by the customer 14 days or more before the event date. If cancellations are made by the customer with less than 14 days notice there is a cancellation charge of $150. To avoid disappointment and cancellation, it is strongly advised that an indoor venue is booked or at least available as a back-up option especially during the Winter season. If you choose to plan your event outdoors then this is done at your own risk and charges may incur if cancelled due to weather. If Little Cubby Spaces Limited has to cancel for reasons other than the weather the client will be offered a full refund or the option to re-book with a discount offered as a gesture of good will. What is included in my hire? Our team will set up at your venue. We provide your chosen themed cubby houses, along with toys/activities, we provide tables and benches for up to ten children along with themed tableclothes and ten napkins. At the end of your event, we will pack away. No plates/cups/decorations/ food/drink are included.

Where can you set up? Our team can set up in an inside or outside venue (subject to weather). The space requirements for each cubby house set up is stated on the theme page so please check you have the minimum requirement before booking. If setting up inside, we also require a minimum ceiling height of 2.4metres (standard house). We require a reasonably flat surface to set up the houses on, not a slope or hill, if you are unsure, please check with our team before booking and send a photo.

What is Play Safe NZ? They are a consultancy company that we have worked with Little Cubby Spaces to ensure the design of our cubby houses are safe for the little ones playing on it. They are New Zealand's leading provider of playground professional services, including safety inspections, design reviews, and inspection training. Playsafe are a holder of international accreditation from the Register of Playground Inspectors International (RPII) and are highly recommended by the Ministry of Education and the Education Review Office. Their inspectors are independent, impartial, confidential, police vetted, and insured with professional indemnity.
